  1. Mobile Feature Request: The "Smart Drawer" Cart for Buddi.io

Objective: To reduce cart abandonment and increase average order value (AOV) by allowing customers to view and edit their cart without leaving the shopping experience. The Core UI: Slide-Out vs. Page Load Current State: Clicking the cart icon typically opens a modal or redirects to a dedicated checkout URL. This interrupts the browsing flow. Proposed Solution: Implement a Side Slider (Drawer) that slides in from the right side of the screen (or bottom on mobile) when the cart icon is clicked. Behavior: The background dims (overlay), but the menu remains visible. Mobile Optimization: On mobile, this should be a bottom-sheet slider that occupies 80% of the screen height, allowing users to easily swipe it down to return to shopping. The "Impulse Buy" Engine (Upsells) Dispensaries lose revenue on small accessories (papers, lighters) that are often forgotten during online ordering. Proposed Feature: Add a "Quick Add" Carousel inside the Cart Drawer located just above the "Checkout" button. Logic: If [Cart] contains [Flower] or [Pre-Roll] -> Show [Lighters, Rolling Papers, Hemp Wicks]. If [Cart] contains [Concentrates] -> Show [Dab Tools, Q-Tips]. UI: Small square thumbnails with a simple (+) Add button. No product page load required. Gamified "Free Delivery" Bar Many dispensaries offer free delivery over a certain threshold (e.g., $50). Proposed Feature: A dynamic progress bar at the top of the Cart Drawer. Visual: A green bar that fills up as items are added. Text Logic: State A: "Spend $15.00 more for Free Delivery!" State B (Goal Met): "🎉 You've unlocked Free Delivery!" Why: This psychology is proven to increase basket size significantly as users try to hit the "goal." "Sticky" Footer Summary Proposed Feature: The bottom of the drawer should have a "Sticky" footer that is always visible, even if the cart has many items and requires scrolling. Contents: Subtotal (clearly visible). Primary CTA: A large, full-width button labeled "Proceed to Checkout". Secondary Link: "Continue Shopping" (underneath). Technical Implementation Logic (For Devs) If you are implementing this via custom code on top of Buddi: The Trigger: Attach a click event listener to the existing .cart-icon class. Prevent the default href redirect. The Container: Inject a div with position: fixed; right: -100%; (hidden off-screen). On click, toggle a class to right: 0;. The Data: Use the Buddi API (or scrape the current cart state object) to populate the drawer dynamically. The Upsell: Hardcode specific Product IDs for your "Impulse Buy" items (e.g., specific SKUs for lighters) to render in the carousel to keep load times fast.

  2. Add a filter to show new in-stock products

Hello, We have had customers provide feedback that they would like to be able to filter by new products on our menu (ie, new additions to the menu, restocks etc...) Is this a filter you are considering?

  3. Filter by Subcategories

It would be great to filter by subcategory, especially in accessories, you could filter by pipe, bong, etc

  4. Product Rating/Review Option (Star Rating, Thumbs up/down, etc)

Let's allow customers and budtenders rate our menu items with a star system. Then people can filter by rating :)

  5. Revamp Online and In-Store Analytic Reports (Include: Abandon Cart Tracking/Report)

Need more metrics such as: Conversion Rate Menu views (both apps) Abandon Carts (I would like to know when a customer abandons their cart so we can send them a email asking if they want to complete their order) Heatmaps/Click-through rate

  6. Print orders directly from Buddi

As a Dutchie convert, the ability to print off order receipts is very helpful for both picking an order and tracking to ensure all orders are being fulfilled. This functionality would be a really useful add-on for my team!

  7. Cart Limit Indicator

Online customers should see a live total/count towards the maximum grams in their cart on the menu and/or in their cart. As a consumer, I usually try to maximize my order size against the 30g limit. (somtimes at the expense of my wallet...)

  8. Add product to the menu via the SKU not the UPC

The UPC function is kind of broken sometimes especially for Accessories. This could be a fix

  9. Automatically suggest UPCs for incorrectly entered UPCs

I would like to be able to manually enter the UPC if the UPC from the POS software comes in an incorrect format.

  10. Product bundles - greater selection ability

Allow the ability to choose specific weights instead of an entire category. For example, I would like to create a 'buy 2' bundle but have it only apply to 3.5g flower, not the entire category.

  11. Input Field for First and Last name in Check Out

For additional security and verification, it would be great for the checkout field to prompt customers to enter both first and last names. Perhaps an input field for each name could achieve this.

  12. Use Greenline's product names and descriptions

Buddi syncs a lot of Greenline's info, but appears to get the product name and description from OCS. I would like to toggle to using the name and description from Greenline instead. I understand that I can manually change those fields in Buddi, but copy/pasting all that info manually from Buddi is too time consuming.

  13. Admin Portal Mobile Optimization

We would like to see the Admin Portal (app.buddi.io) updated to make it functional on mobile. Right now when logged into the Admin Portal we can't access the settings and features on the left-hand side. An example of why we need access, we would like to monitor the Order Queue on mobile. Thank you!

  14. French Catalogue in Ontario

Currently OCS has a catalogue and website in French. The wholesale site catalogue is currently only in English. There are numerous Ontario retailers who have a large French clientele especially those retailers in Northern Ontario and along the Quebec border. The French version of the catalogue could be pulled by Buddi as the English is currently and provided to retailers as you do now. This is something that I have asked from OSC and would think that it is something the BUDDI could also advocate for.

  15. SEO

Would like to have more SEO control for the products we carry, so when customers search a particular product/strain/terpene/consumption method etc with GOOGLE., it will be recognized by GOOGLE rather being stuck behind BUDDI, since BUDDI's current iteration does nothing for the retailer SEO.
